Organizations that support environmental, cultural and youth causes were among those that received a portion of the grant funds. Since 2006, Harrah’s New Orleans has provided $225,000 in annual funding to community organizations through the New Orleans City Council-Harrah’s Community Grant Program. Through the program council members award the funds at their discretion to area nonprofits that complete the grant application process.
